Decks are made up of three main components: the frame, the decking, and the rail.
Frame
The frame is what holds the deck in place, creating a strong, safe foundation upon which the deck is built. Poor materials will rot or twist, becoming dangerous and creating the need for repair or costly replacement.
We use a powder-coated steel or KDAT lumber both with the industry’s best warranties and safety ratings.
Decking
Decking refers to the tread you walk on. Composite decks are very popular, primarily due to their incredibly low maintenance and durability. Simply hosing it off a few times a year is all that is needed to keep it looking clean and cared for. With color options that range from wood-like to decorative grains and patterns, they are warranted for 20+ years and stay cool thanks to new technology in the composite decking materials.
If you are looking for hardwood, which does require annual maintenance, we offer redwood, cedar and Brazilian hardwood selections designed to withstand time and weather.
Lighting systems, either in the floor of the deck or along the handrails, also adds a unique look for your deck.
Rails – iron, aluminum, glass, and steel cable options, with or without lighting systems, finish off the decks look and functionality. Options to meet your needs and desired look are available to choose from.
How Does it Work?
We start your deck project by first doing a home visit to see and measure the space and to listen to your goal, interests, and budget. We make sure that UpRight is the right deck builder for you, based on our philosophy of quality and the products we offer.
We give education on potential options for your unique situation and create a budget and timeline for the project, so you know clearly what to expect. We meet at the showroom to see, touch and pick the materials to be used on your deck.
Materials are delivered directly to your home, where we do everything from design, to demo, to labor/install and clean up. About a week after material arrival, you will be enjoying your beautiful new deck!
